What’s New For the 2019 Nissan Murano?
The new Nissan Murano is available in several different versions. There are a few small changes from last year. A lot of this comes from interior upgrades and added safety features. The Murano is available with a V6 and front wheel or all-wheel drive.
The exterior of the Murano has some front-end changes. The bumper, grille, and lighting systems have all been updated. The interior is more modern looking with the addition of metallic or faux wood inserts. There is also the addition of three colors, Mocha Almond, Deep Blue, and Sunset Drift.
Technology has also been upgraded for the Nissan Murano. There are a lot of different available options, including reverse and forward automatic braking systems in emergencies. Also available is lane departing alarm, pedestrian detecting system, and blind spot monitor.

There are several trim levels to choose from with just two option packages available. The models include the base S, the SV, SL, and the Platinum model which is fully loaded. The SV package adds a bird’s eye view camera system, a moon roof, and a premium Bose audio system. The SL package adds advanced driver assistance technology. Also available is a monitor for drowsy and inattentive drivers. There are sensors that monitor the steering, pressure amount on the accelerator, and deviations from lane position. Rear sensors are mounted with the ability to park the vehicle automatically. It also features two fast charging USB ports.
What’s Under the Hood for the 2019 Nissan Murano?
The Murano comes with a V6 that gives you 265 horsepower. It also puts out 240 pounds of torque at 4400 rpm. It’s a 3.5 liter engine with fuel mileage of 20 in the city and 28 on the highway. The engine is linked to a CVT automatic which helps in the performance department.
Standard Safety Gear That Is Hard to Beat
There are air bags to protect you from just about any type of collision. Other safety features include brake assist, four-wheel disc brakes, and traction control. Child safety locks and electronic stability control are also available safety features. Google Assistant is integrated in the Murano along with an updated navigation platform. The infotainment center now allows updates over the air.
The new Murano is a comfortable ride with a unique look. It will hit 60 in just over seven seconds while giving you a touch of luxury while doing it. There is also a rear seat reminder, which reminds you to check the rear seat for children, pets, and packages that should be taken in.
